PLASTIC SURGERY IN 2015: WHAT’S COMING UP? [PART 2]
Posted by Laurence Weider on September 10, 2015
As the new year 2015 keeps rolling on, we’re looking ahead to developments in the world of plastic surgery. Continued from our previous blog post, here are more predictions:
* Eye lift surgery (blepharoplasty) is expected to become even more popular, as the procedure has been vastly improved in recent years. Rejuvenating this delicate area — often one of the first body parts to show signs of aging — is now easier than ever.
* With better harvesting techniques, fat grafting will likely continue to boom in 2015. Fat injections are becoming even more popular than fat removal — a major shift from the past. Dr. Laurence Weider performs fat transfer and micro fat injections in Dallas.
* More patients will request “just a little tweak.” Even simple treatments — such as ear surgery (otoplasty), removal of moles or birthmarks, and soft lifts that gently raise sagging cheeks, brows and jowls — can greatly improve self esteem.
* Still to come in the future, surgeons are excited about fat-melting facial injections that can help reduce the appearance of double chins. A new topical form of Botox also awaits FDA approval.
If this is the year you’re ready to embrace the opportunity to create a new you? Dr. Laurence Weider, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Dallas, Texas, can help. Contact Weider Plastic Surgery to find out how.
