What is Belotero?
Belotero is an injectable dermal filler composed of hyaluronic acid (HA). Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in the skin to add moisture and volume. When placed into wrinkles and folds, Belotero smooths the skin for a younger appearance. Belotero is softer than some of the other hyaluronic acid products, and therefore it works well in areas with thinner skin such as around the eyes and in the lips.

The Belotero Treatment
Dr. Weider will begin your Belotero treatment by cleansing the skin and applying a topical numbing cream to enhance your comfort during the procedure. Next, he will map out the injection points around your eyes, mouth, and nose. He will use a thin needle to then place a small amount of Belotero under the skin. This process only takes about 15 to 45 minutes to complete.
Results of Belotero
The results of Belotero are immediate resulting in smoother, younger-looking skin. You might experience some mild swelling, bruising, and redness at the injection points, however, this should resolve in the first several hours, and you can get right back to your regular routine. While individual results vary, Belotero has been shown to last up to 6 months or more before a touch-up session is needed.

After attending Stanford University, he obtained his medical degree (M.D.) from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He then completed a one year surgical internship in Los Angeles at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, followed by a four year general surgery residency in Dallas at Methodist Medical Center, and a two year plastic surgery fellowship in Cleveland at Case Western Reserve University.
