Information For Our Out Of Town Patients

I am honored that we frequently have patients travel long distances to Weider Plastic Surgery for their cosmetic procedure. In addition to patients from many of the states, we have had patients travel from Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Norway and even Afghanistan. Given the easy exchange of information that is available today, people are willing to travel far in order to find the right surgeon.

Thanks to Dallas-Fort Worth International airport, there are non-stop flights available to Dallas from many places near and far. We strive to make it an easy and comfortable experience for our out of town guests. The staff at Weider Plastic Surgery will be more than happy to provide you with names of hotels, restaurants or anything else that you may need during your stay.

Our out of town patients rarely have to make more than one visit here for their surgery. Cecilia, our patient liaison, will make sure that you are ready for your procedure before you arrive. Photos can be emailed ahead of time and reviewed by me, so that an accurate fee quote and surgical plan can be determined prior to your arrival. I will also be happy to discuss your goals via a phone consultation before you leave home. Any current medication and significant past medical or surgical history will also be reviewed. You will be asked to visit our office one day before your surgery so that you can meet with me and my staff, and I can perform an exam and answer any questions or address any concerns that you may have.

Any pre-operative clearance or lab work that is necessary will need to be completed prior to your arrival in Dallas. This will avoid any delays on your surgery day. The amount of time you will need to stay locally after surgery will depend upon the procedure you are having as well as the length of your journey home. Typically, patients stay locally for two to five days after surgery. We look forward to assisting you with your out of town procedure.

Laurence Weider

Dr. Weider, a native of Southern California, is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon who has maintained a private practice in Dallas, TX since 1999. After attending Stanford University, he obtained his medical degree (M.D.) from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He then completed a one year surgical internship in Los Angeles at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, followed by a four year general surgery residency in Dallas at Methodist Medical Center, and a two year plastic surgery fellowship in Cleveland at Case Western Reserve University.
